Custance's "Sovereignty of Grace" extraordinary!,
By Micah Burke (Mountain View, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sovereignty of Grace (Hardcover)
For those seeking more information and discussion of the theology known as Calvinism, Augustinian, or Pauline as based in scripture, Custance wrote it.Custance goes at great lengths to explain the history and the complete implications of the Biblical doctrine of predestination and the sovereignty of God. An excellent book for anyone who loves the Lord. -note added later-

Perhaps the Best,
This review is from: Sovereignty of Grace (Paperback)
I read this book as a new Christian and it thoroughly answered some of the perplexing questions relating to divine sovereignty and human responsibility and freedom. What is interesting is that Dr. Custance came to his Calvinism from a position of skepticism, simply by reading an available Bible while trapped for a lengthy period while in a snowstorm in Canada. After 40 years as a Christian and having read many books on the subject, in my opinion this is clearly one of the best books available, perhaps the best, and well worth even the inflated current price. The 10 volume compilation by Dr. Constance known as the Doorway Paper series, last published by Zondervan is also a gem and well worth securing. |
