Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
As the name implies, the subject of Soviet / Russian Unmanned Aerial Vehicles is solely past, current and future UAV projects of USSR and Russia. Although it is easier to find information about western systems on the Internet, the case for USSR / Russian systems is not the same. Yefim Gordon informs the reader about brief history of each project, with technically rich descriptions of the vehicles at the end of each project section. I am not an aerospace engineer, but it was easy to understand the technical descriptions.

The book includes excellent pictures and descriptive cutaway drawings of the vehicles. There is also approximately 20 page long photo galley at the end of the book. As for today (November 2006), it is not possible to find most of these pictures anywhere on the Internet.

Personally I found the history of USSR UAV projects very interesting and different from western counterparts. Reading of the book was a real fun.
