Sowing Seeds (Granary Girls) ... YES!,

I've had the opportunity to watch and appreciate the talents of Patty and Jodi over the past several years... along with the many other talents on the album... and I can honestly tell you from what I know that you won't be disappointed with this investment. The opening track of Briar and the Rose just haunts and the variety in the tunes is delightful. There's fun and seriousness here, stories and messages are shared. This duo is so real, without pretense and so much of the nonsense that I see in popular music now. It is a sincere work, with substance and forthright clarity that makes it all come together to form a downright decent listen. The fans were elated when the cd was finally released... and should you ever find yourself in the heartland, you'd not be sorry to find yourself seated in some cozy venue, enjoying the live performance these two and their friends put on. The songs change, the stories come forth, the experiences brought to light... the voices rise into harmony that is intense and sweet. Give this cd a spin... you'll laugh and cry and come to know the Granary Girls a bit more. A worthwhile time and experience, for sure.

I found this album on iTunes and just love it. I'm not a rabid folk fan, but they have great voices, lyrics, and messages. "Herstory" is my favorite, I wish there were more verses!
