Come me gusta la musica del Instituto de Sonido de Mexico. This is red hot, bop 'til you drop musica from our southern neighbors. Unlike some past MIS releases, this one satisfies until the very end. Es muy rico! Comelo.

This CD has a great variety of music to it. Personally, I love "White Stripes" and the cover of Bittersweet Symphony!

"Soy Sauce" is the third CD I've purchased by the Mexican Institute of Sound. I'm inclined to think it's the best. "Soy Sauce" provides a strange melange of sounds and styles but it's just delightful music. I discovered the MIS in that I was interested in electronica and had purchased several Nortec Collective CDs. MIS then appeared on my recommendations list. Well, the lyrics are almost all in Spanish and I have virtually no knowledge of Spanish. Who cares? The music speaks for itself. I enjoy the structure, the beat and the whimsical sounds. It's a fun and playful kind of music. When I listen little smiles appear on my face. I suspect that if I could understand the lyrics, I'd be laughing. The music is a pure hodge-podge of sounds and samplings of all kinds of things. Weird electronic sounds are mixed in with cow moos, samples of songs and noises of unknown origins. Baffling musical instruments appear and disappear but they provide an interesting listening experience. All of the songs would make good dance music and the music provides a good party atmosphere. I'd like to have a gathering of music lovers (particularly those who enjoy electronica) and play this CD as background music. I'm sure that before the CD was over, there'd be all sorts of questions and discussions. I'd say all of the songs are rather good, but none really stand out. I can't pick a favorite, but I wouldn't toss any out. MIS seems to be constantly improving and the sound quality of this CD is considerably better than the previous two. It's a delightful CD. This is a great album, very upbeat. I listen to it in an eclectic retail store and everybody reacts when it comes on. People start dancing and having fun!

This is the first album I have from this group. I bought it because it was eclectic. I am not sure why other listeners feel that it was "rushed", I guess I don't know how to tell when an album is rushed. The songs are filled with humor and social commentary. I liked listening to the songs and not knowing how they would end...It makes for an interesting listening experience.

I guess when you put so many albums out in such a short time, the quality of the songs has to suffer...I really like MIS two previous albums, this one though should not be out in the market, too predictable and clearly not developed songs...I hope the next one picks up where the previous one left off...
