Marta has an amazing voice and this is by far one of her best albums. It is a departure from her earlier work and is not as "pop" flavored all the way through as some of her other albums. Heavy on the ballads overall, the self-penned mid-tempo "Sigo Intentando" is now one of my favorite Marta songs. "Soy Yo" is very disco-esque and one of the best dance tracks Marta has ever recorded. At first I was a little disapointed that as I continued to listen, the album was so full of ballads. I got over that because the songs are so good. They are unique, not your a-typical bunch of power ballads. It's still a pop album, but there is a alot of emotion, and Marta's voice sounds better than ever with great control and some slightly different vocal styles on a few songs vs. anything she has ever done. I always think it's such a shame that unlike her first albums, Marta doesn't continue to record the songs in both English & Spanish and that someone at a record label somewhere would stand up and promote her on a larger scale to other countries. She has a unique voice, but it rivals that of any other major English speaking/singing Diva out there.

....and back for good. After her last compilation release (Los Mejores Años de Nuestra Vida), which I though was an excellent record, Marta strikes back again with a new CD, where she shows a more mature voice than in previous times. More ballads are found this time, though you can still find some dance tracks, like "Soy yo" (one of my favorites) with her characteristic style of former years. "Sigo intentado" is a great song and has also been her first single of the CD. She keeps proving she has one of the greatest voices in Spain, and this can be confirmed when listening to most of the slow songs, like "Amor Cobarde", or "En tus brazos". This last song starts softly and keeps gaining pace and rythm til the end. I rated it four stars just because there are a couple of songs that I found a bit boring, like the last one in the CD, but anyway, I would recommend this recording to anyone who likes Marta Sánchez or who enjoys listening to a good voice.
