It was difficult to fill, and the suction cups did not keep the seat in place.

This item would be a definite TWO star product, if my husband had not read a review of it elsewhere.
The trick is marbles. You'll have to buy maybe 4 or more bags of them at your local dollar store.
Pop the marbles in through the "fill" hole in the bottom (an interesting excercise in agility if you're actually sitting IN the spa) and you've got enough weight so the cushion won't float away or out from under you.
Thanks to whoever wrote that original review.

i held the booster seat underwater and filled it with the hose this way no air gets in and it doesn't float around as others have complained about . also the only problem i have with the suction cups is the little buggars won't let go of the acylic shell on my tub, i'm thinking of cutting some or all of them off. i bought 2 ;ones half full for the wife, the others the full 4in height for my favorite little motherinlaw, wouldn't want the little german to drown , now would we.....

This booster seat works well and is very comfortable especially for smaller folks. Adding marbles is a great idea, thanks to whoever came up with it and took the time to review. I added some small packs of marbles from Dollar General and the seat stays in place. The suction cups also help to keep it in place. The local hot tube store sells a similar product for $26. Kind of makes you wonder about their markups on the hot tubs.

I am happy with these seat cushions. My wife and my boy complain about the spa seats being a bit too deep for them, and these cushions take care of that nicely, Even I -- a tall guy -- appreciate the opportunity to get my sore back muscles a few inches higher to better align with the spa jets on occasion. A couple people had claimed that they had received leaky cushions, so I immediately inflated the two I received and left them on a table with heavy books on top for a couple days to see if mine were leaking, too. The ones I got held air nicely. Other reviewers were right about the suction cups not working well on modern, textured spa finishes, but the dollar store marble hack works great to keep these from getting blown around the tub by the spa jets. I added three dollars worth of marbles to each cushion to great effect. My only minor complaint is that I would appreciate a cushion about half this height. Four or five inches is a little too thick, and if I simply put less water in it, then it ends up kind of wobbly under me.

The hot tub booster seat was great for my height challenged wife. It kept both of us out of hot water!

good. Need to put the pads in when filling the tub up as it doesn't work well afterwards. Nice though

I purchased a different spa seat last winter and it did not meet my needs. It was not high enough and it kept floating. This one is much higher and heavier and it has the suction cups that help. They are not great but they do help a little. I suppose it would work even better if we would put some sand or rock in it along with the water. I would buy this item again.

My wife uses it to give herself a little boost in some of the deeper hot tub seats. She just partially filled it with water. Feels like a water bed under the water. We have had no problem with it sliding or moving or becoming disconnected from the tub. It didn't notice it floating when i submerged it under water. Didn't need to put any marbles or anything like that in it to get it to stay down.
