Book Description

March 31, 2005
SURVIVAL is the third in Powys Media's new line of novels based on SPACE: 1999, the classic science fiction television series. In this novel, the Alphans encounter a damaged spacecraft drifting in space. Onboard are the last refugees of a destroyed world. The Alphans try to lend assistance, only to find that the one thing the aliens need to survive is Alpha itself. Koenig faces "a choice between life and death, in which humanity is a liability, ethics are expendable, war may be the only recourse, and survival must be won...at any cost."

5.0 out of 5 stars Whether You Like Space 1999 or Not, This Is a Great Book, September 16, 2008
By

This review is from: Space: 1999 Survival (Mass Market Paperback)
Like all the other reviewers said, this book provided a great ending for Victor Bergman, however, it also provided an interesting beginning for new things to come for Moonbase Alpha. Really enjoyed reading this fast pace book, which made you feel that you want to read more about these characters. Also, just like the other Space 1999 book published by Powys, the Forsaken, even if you do not know about the Space 1999 TV series, this book is also an excellent stand along novel. You will enjoy reading it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Did you ever wonder what happened to Victor Bergman?, June 9, 2008
By
This review is from: Space: 1999 Survival (Mass Market Paperback)
Fans of Space: 1999 will recall the major changes that occurred between season one and season two. Some of new things, as well as the absent things in season two were never explained. The most conspicuous change was the absence of Alpha's Science Officer, Victor Bergman. This novel explains the rest of the story and provides us with some clues to his fate.

Ball writes a great story which at times makes you feel like you are watching the show again.

4.0 out of 5 stars survival in one pass, September 20, 2005

MR STEPHEN JANSEN "Stephen Jansen" (Preston, lancashire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Space: 1999 Survival (Mass Market Paperback)
Best read in one pass, Brian Ball delivers a timeless, thought provoking and highly descriptive adventure to link elements of Year one to Year Two as the Alphan's encounter an alien race who will stop at nothing to survive. The story races along to a heartbreaking conclusion, but also with hope for the future.

Powys Media continues to deliver with this latest novel.
Highly recomended
Steve Jansen
