Silva and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra have released their third installment of "Space and Beyond" entitled - "SPACE 3-BEYOND THE FINAL FRONTIER". Silva kicks off this outing with some of the most impressive and spectacular arrangments, selections and performances for the discriminative soundtrack and sci-fi collector.

This two CD set is excellent with superior sound quality and again a few stand outs - "THE LAST STARFIGHTER" (1984) (Craig Safan) - "GALAXY QUEST" (1999) (David Newman) - "THINGS TO COME-MARCH" (1936) (Arthur Bliss) and "ARMAGEDDON-SUITE" (1998) (Trevor Rabin). With outstanding liner-notes for the trivia buff and your reading pleasure

If you enjoy large scale orchestra with brilliant choral, this set is for you as we go - "BEYOND THE FINAL FRONTIER" with "SPACE 3!"

This is the weakest of the three Silva America "space and beyond" compilations but this still has many great tracks nonethless.

Just look at the composers: James Horner (Aliens, Deep Impact) Elmer Bernstein (Ghostbusters), Alan Silvestri (Back To The Future, Judge Dredd), Bruce Broughton (Lost In Space), Trevor Rabin (Armageddon), Lawrence Rosenthal (Meteor), David Newman (Galaxy Quest), Basil Poledouris (Robocop). Many great tracks on this CD, all three of these space and beyond volumes are must have.
