5.0 out of 5 stars VENOM-SPEWING ATTITUDE R&R PUTS OTHER BANDS TO SHAME, April 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Space Age Playboys (Audio CD)
The fifth album from the most underrated bandin the last 20 years is a full-on assault of pureattitude rock'n'roll. Lead singer Kory Clarke lives and breathes whatever he sings and drivesit home with pure conviction. Very sadly, thiswas the swan song for this band, but the band was so ahead of it's time they will probably be regarded as Gods in fifteen years. This albumis different from earlier releases, as theygravitated away from the straight-ahead, creativemetal, and moved towards angrier, screw-you attitude-type music. The earlier releases, though are excellent, andthe good news is that everyone should keep theireyes out for Kory Clarke's new band, SpaceAge Playboys, which carries on the tradition of this type of music.

4.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS PUNK WITH ATTITUDE., June 6, 2001

This review is from: Space Age Playboys (Audio CD)
Never heard of them before this album and sadly they were never to be heard of again. However, this album brings back memories from the Sex Pistols days, when Johnny Rotten really was rotten to the core, the music was aggresive and had rhythm at the same time. Bands like Warrior Soul will always find it hard to breakthrough to the mainstream as the music will never appeal to the teeny bopper element thast rules the corporate music world.

I have only given this album four stars because although there are some real gems of tracks on the album, there is also a few duds. The best tracks are by far Rocket Engines, The Drug, Lets get wasted, Rotten Soul, I wanna get some, Look at you and Fightin' the war.

This album is NOT heavy metal. It is very clearly and obviously punk music.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Band of the 90s!, July 15, 2000

With RAP music taking over Mtv these days and most musical markets including what is called Rock these days, it's nice to know a band was around that stuck to it's guns and stayed true. Next to Metallica and Sabbath, I would say Warrior Soul is my third favorite band ever. All 5 releases from this band shredded but unfortunately Geffen records chose to promote an egotistical moron (Axl Rose) and a fallen hero who changed the face of music as I knew it (Kurt Cobain/Nirvana)and pretty much ignored this great, great band. Space Aged Playboys took a more simple and raw direction then previous efforts but showed what REAL R&R attitude and Punk were about. It's to bad the younger generations have to be spoonfed bands like Limp Bizcuit and Blink 182. In my oppinion, these bands couldn't tie Warrior soul's shoes!
