I built other kits from the same company in the past. This one was by far the hardest to finish because it is so fragile. The paper is all recycled and not much heavier than regular printer paper, so little strength. Also, the telescope barrel and aft shroud are very light paper, yet you're supposed to attach the high gain antenna booms and various other appendages to them?
In construction form, usually paper models use tabs to attach pieces. This one has you using just the end of the paper tube (telescope and aft shroud) as the surface area to apply glue and pray it holds. I seriously thought about creating my own tabs to add some strength.
Once it's done, it looks fine, just don't expect it to handle more than a gentle breeze if it's hung from the ceiling. If anyone grabs the telescope barrel or aft shroud, it's over.

Good looks but difficult to assemble, October 7, 2011

This model took hours and hours to assemble. Bought if for my 5th grader's science project. Ended up doing all the work to assemble it. The instructions mention using a hot glue gun at times. That was a mistake due to the paper being so thin and fragile. Simple white glue gives more setup time that's needed. Looks great once it's all complete just takes a lot of effort to get to that point.
