This review is from: The Space Crescent: The Untold Story (The Mississippi Connection: The National Space Technology Laboratories) (Hardcover)
I can't imagine a more inspiring job than working for NASA as they prepared to land a man on the moon. My father was not a astronaut nor an engineer, but as a top NASA attorney he was as much a part of their efforts as if he had gone into space himself.

This book tells the story, sometimes in painstaking detail, of the development of NASA's Mississippi Test Site. It's filled with stories of the unique times and people of this region. Did I mention there was a lot of detail? My dad had a memory like a computer.

After completing the book my father received a nice advance from his publisher, but sadly the warehouse holding the printed copies burned soon after they had been printed. If nothing else, I suppose that makes this book somewhat of a collector's item.
