A Hidden Gem!!!, December 21, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Space Dogs (Hardcover)
I am 12, and I love to read. I have read countless books in my life, and I have to say, this book is definitely in my top 5. I picked it up last summer at the library, when it was new, and let me tell you, I am so happy that I did! Packed with humor, love, adventure, action, and suspense, it is fit for any age, 9+, definitely not stopping at 12!! I think anyone would enjoy this book, especially of the are dog or science fiction lovers. With a touch of a love story, a humourous storyline- I laughed out loud many times reading this book, even when when no one else was in the room, and the science fiction twist, this book has something for everyone to enjoy.

Space Dogs - What a trip!, June 21, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Space Dogs (Hardcover)
I loved this book from the first page to the last...I can't believe I read it through so quick. I just really wanted to know how it turned out (don't worry, I won't spoil it for you).
The chase scene is great, and I loved the gags about the A.N.O.S.
When do we get to read Space Dogs 2?

Makes me wag my tail, June 20, 2006
This review is from: Space Dogs (Hardcover)
I picked up this book thinking I wouldn't be into a kids story. I couldn't put it down. I read it in one weekend, and I loved the jokes, the story, the sci-fi, the adventure and I give it two thumbs up.. or should that be two paws up :)

Not only for kids, February 14, 2011
This review is from: Space Dogs (Hardcover)
This book was hilarious!
I read it to my 8 year old son before bed time, every night looking forward to finding out more about the space travelers. My husband started to join in and was sad he had to miss the ending. "Do they have an audio book?" he asked.
It starts with the real fact of the Russian dog Laika going into space, this gave us an excuse to do a little research into space exploration. Quicky takes off in unexpected directions and has surprises on every page.
Besides the crazy space adventure, it contains a parallel human story about self-confidence and family. Although a bit disconnected from the main plot, it still makes you feel warm and fuzzy and complies with the requirement of having some sort of "moral of the story", so adults will aprove of it, and be willing to overlook the crude jokes about A.N.O.S. and such.
Great fun! It reads like a movie. Don't be surprised if some studio picks it up.
