I bought this dvd collection hoping that it would have a new program on spaceflight but instead all of the programs were ones I had seen many times before. The product description does not list the shows contained in this collection, so I will list them in this review. It contains 4 shows from the Discovery Channel, not 5 as I had seen on other websites.

1. When We Left Earth: Moon Landing Special - contains good quality footage of the Apollo 11 moon landing as well as first person accounts from the astronauts. Taken from the When We Left Earth series.

2. Exodus Earth - focus's on Saturn's moon Titan as a future place for humanity to colonize. The footage and content are great, but the premise of the show is not very realistic as Titan really can't support life as we know it.

3. Coming Home from Space: The Challenge of Reentry - focus's on the Columbia disaster and how and why the shuttle Columbia broke up. It has very good content, graphics and makes for a good tribute to the crew of Columbia.

4. Starship Orion: Future of Space Travel - details the design and development of the new space capsule Orion which will carry astronauts to the Moon and later Mars. Orion is really a small space capsule that will sit on top of a large rocket. This program shows the early efforts to design and develop the space capsule. The footage and content is good but would appeal more to an engineer or space enthusiast. There are some graphics of the rockets that will send the capsule into space but not much.

For the price, this is a great value. I was disappointed that I had already seen these shows, I was hoping for more. I gave this collection three stars because of the good quality of the programs and the production and the low price.
