Space for Hire - Man and Giraffe,
By A Customer
This review is from: Space for Hire (Original Sam Space Classic) (Paperback)
Space for hire is one of the best ever examples of funny sci-fi. It's a rollercoster ride across the solar system and through parallel universes as a hard bitten PI tries desperately to save the life of a scientist and his beautiful daughter. From winking nipples to bird creatures on pluto laying eggs and even fire breathing dragons it's a hilarious read from start to finish. I can't reccomend this book

As funny as it is suspense-filled.,

Just finished reading it and can say that the satire combination of the old hard-boiled detective genre of the Sam Spade era moved forward to the future, planet hopping science-fiction field. This book has more twists and turns and upside down flips than the the world's greatest roller coaster ride. He's a bird, he's a baby, he's a looney gungoon, and the most hard boiled private op in the solar system. Can you figure out what Dr. Umani is working on and what body he'll be in next? Find out why the Zubu has to hide it's eggs. And how do you get rid of a witch who has cursed you just because you munched on her forest. We'll see Sam Space from cradle to grave and points in between.
