Both of my boys love this book -- partly because it's about space and aliens, and partly because they can both participate in the reading. My five year old can recognize words that are repeated, and can easily remember phrases contained in the book. He also enjoys saying the words in place of the pictures. My two year old is speech delayed, and the book really made him want to talk. After seeing his big brother say the words, he began pointing to each picture and attempting to mimic his brother by identifying each item. A definite success!!!

This book is an excellent way for a little one to 'keep up' with the older children. "I like the aliens" says my three year old. It gave him a boost of confidence when he was able to 'read' with me. It was kind of fun thinking that aliens would think life on earth would be scary.

My 26mth old son gets a giant kick out of being able to assist in reading this book. Picture reader(rebus) books are great at continuing the love of reading with children and gives them a sense of accomplishment. We have this one and snowball. I will be buying more of these. He can't wait to read his books to his grandparents and show off when they come.
