I saw a negative review on these table before I bought them. However, checked them out on the manufacturers site and visually saw the tables seemed to be well put together.
I ordered two of them for personal Christmas presents for both my wife and myself. the tables arrived, required no assembly, so we set them up. First we noticed how well finished the top surfaces were, sanded very smooth, then varnished to the natural color of the wood (blonde). We set up our laptops, raised the lid portion of the desk up and down a few times to get the best viewing angle for the commputer screens. We also foound the pull out drswer to be veery handy for small notepads, highlighters, pens and pencils fit just fine too. I did not observe the quality of the pull out drawer to be as flimsy as another reviewer did. Over all, we're very pleased with the tables.

So...
I moved to a new apartment about half a year ago and because of the lack of space in my room, I couldn't fit a desk or even a small table. I opted to find purchase this laptop tray. I was wary at first because many of the reviews said the legs were a problem, but looking at the other options available to me at the time, I really felt that this was the best way to go. The tray arrived nicely and fast. I remember having no problems with the delivery or transaction. I was extremely happy with the tray overall. It is a little awkward to use at first. In fact, it's a little awkward in general when you are trying to move around or have more than one person in the bed, but alone it is great. I sometimes play online games which take delicate mouse skills and had no problems playing while using this tray. At first I had no problems with the legs and was even wondering what some of the reviews I had originally read were complaining about, but I'd say, after about a month the legs started to give me issues. The wooden bars that held the two legs in place, constantly came out. It was so annoying, I finally just took them out myself and quit using them. I didn't notice that much of a difference except when setting the tray in place at first, I would have to steady both legs before getting into a comfortable position to use the tray. Everything was fine even without the bars that connected the two legs together, until about two weeks ago. One of the legs broke off the tray completely. Because of how the thing leg broke, it was incredibly easy to just jam it back in and use the tray still, but any movement what-so-ever seemed to make the leg fallout again and it scared me because my computer would also slide when it fell out. Now, I am not a fix-it-myself kind of person AT ALL! I honestly can not think of anything I've fixed with general tools (i.e. Hammer and nails) in a LONG time, but I decided to give it a go. I went to the local pharmacy. Bought a tube of super glue for $2.50, went home, took 30 seconds to glue the leg back on and it was fixed. I even decided to glue the wooden bars connecting the two legs back on and it also was a simple fix in less than 5 minutes (seriously). Now my tray is sturdier than ever and all it was cost me was 5 minutes time and $2.50 I recommend this tray with one condition. When it arrives for you in the mail, do yourself a favor, go out, purchase a small tube of super glow and immediately glue the two connecting bars in place. It will save you a LOT of trouble in the long run. I don't know why the company doesn't do this anyways.

I use this table both as a laptop table and as a dinner tray at the couch. It does both very well. I chose this table because it was one of the few tables which could accommodate my 18"-screen laptop and still have space for a mouse. It does this very nicely. There are some complaints that it feels cheap; I agree that it isn't going to be mistaken for a butler's silver serving tray, but for what it is, I have no complaints. The finish is smooth on top, and you don't notice the unfinished portions unless you flip the thing over. The company that shipped the table was VERY fast.
