Space saving? Yes, but...
I requested several of these bags, in addition to purchasing some on my own; to maximize the space in my clothing tote bins. They do exactly as they state; suck the air out of the bags with the use of any vacuum cleaner. Perhaps, I am removing TOO much air, as I have YET to get a bag to lie flat. They DO take up less space, however; because of the odd shapes I end up...

Unreliable, difficult to use
These only stay deflated for a short period. Obviously there must be air leaks. The zipper closure is very hard to use; you have to pinch it shut with your fingers (imagine trying to make a perfect seal on a bag that's wide enough to hold blankets) and then run their little zipper over it, supposedly to seal it, but that step does nothing if you haven't already made a...

These only stay deflated for a short period. Obviously there must be air leaks. The zipper closure is very hard to use; you have to pinch it shut with your fingers (imagine trying to make a perfect seal on a bag that's wide enough to hold blankets) and then run their little zipper over it, supposedly to seal it, but that step does nothing if you haven't already made a perfectly airtight seal with your fingers. I've had these a couple years (they have NEVER worked well) but the new bags look like have the same old ineffective closure.

They DO take up less space, however; because of the odd shapes I end up with, they don't stack as neatly as I had hoped.
