The hotel 3,14 in Cannes does for the sexy boutique hotel what Victoria's Secret Infinity Edge Bra did for tight fitting sweaters and tops. This is the hotel's "house" soundtrack and it's everything you'd expect from an establishment that was desperately looking a way to to put the Rrrrrrr into aural sex.

Sonic Shaman Claude Challe and his brother Jean-Marc Challe really deliver with this sometimes smoking other times brie cheesy compilation. I was and continue to be mostly entranced by what Challe conjured with the Buddha Bar comps but I must say, this is really something special! Initially I bought this from Real Music as a download but I decided this was one CD I wanted to keep in the nightstand with my other Karmic Tantric Treats.

It hangs beautifully, the production is epic and well, it works! As I listened to this in my music room my wife came in and wondered out loud why I wasn't sharing this squishy music with her. Well I put this disc on repeat and we let it play through three times. That's two more than we got from Roxy Music's Avalon! Whoa!

I can't say I recognize many of these artists but I intend to find out more. Three standouts IMHO: Grand Orchestre Du Comptoir and Dj Disse's remake of Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side. Walk on the Wild Side! you moan - that's not that sexy! Trust me, it is here.

Same goes for the Stone's classic, Painted Black by Sixth Finger. Yeah, I know - what a name for a band!

So obviously I don't know the first thing about writing about music I(or dancing about architecture for that matter) but I know I like this music. I've enjoyed it as much as anything I've listened to this year. Challe's masterpiece makes most of the other themed trancy, downtempt compilations "look" like training bras.

Buy it, get some strawberries, some chocolate, lingerie and maybe a tub of Kama Sutra products and roll around with someone you love. Or dance naked ...

I am a huge fan of Claude Challe & his brother, and this new disc is one of the finest releases since Buddha Bar #1. Imagine your surprise when you open the CD and find...oops, don't want to give away the little included "surprises" that come with this title!

But the music is the key, and Claude has masterfully crafted this disc in his usual ultra hip style. The disc was created specifically for HOTEL 3,14 in Cannes France - apparently a hotel dedicated to sex and making love in some of the hottest themed rooms in the world. Hey, I'm game! Wonder what a room there costs?

There are at least 2-3 tracks on this disc that almost any chill lover probably already has in their collection, no doubt (Orgasmus, Paint It Black, Walk On The Wild Side) - BUT, the overall effect of this disc is pure pleasure. Claude has some newer ideas here too, and I highly recommend this disc if you like the early Buddha Bar, Just Good Music or Les Bains discs. Highly recommended!

Fantastic mix for a night in with good wine and close friends. Have not stopped listening to this one. I DJ at a local wine bar and plan to play several tracks from this. For the price, dont even think!

Not as good as his Buddha Bar days, but fulfills enough of a Claude Challe Fix!

Wow is all I can say! A great mix of music which gets your juices flowing (no pun intended!). Claude really gets the mood going & once you view the enclosed booklet which contains pictures of the rooms at the hotel on which the CD is based, you'll understand why the music has that soooo sensual feel packed with imagery. A great CD to listen to whilst laying back with your favourite person..make sure you have some candles & red wine handy as this music is bound to make some magic happen!

I cannot get enough of listening to this very sexy cd from Claude and Jean-Marc Challe... What a orgasmic collaboration! From the first note on the very first song, I was hooked and have listened to the cd more times than I can count. I have all of Claude's cd's and he is an excellent musician bar none. This is indeed all that I expected and more! Now if I can just get to Hotel 3, 14 in Cannes, or met this very sexy man who epitomizes my ideal of talent, energy and verve, life would be complete.....

I love all of the Buddha Bar CDs. Bought my first one in Paris in 1992. This is not as smooth and seamless as the BB series. I find myself skipping quite a few tracks.
