This is a very diverse collection of some of the most innovative structures around the world, with a bias towards temporary structures or creative use of found objects or repurposed industrial effluvia ( quite a few connex structures ). It's hard for me to even get all the way through this book it is so inspiring to me. If you are interested in alternatives to the current architectural paradigm this is the finest overview I have ever come across.

Two words: Idea Generator. Unlike most architecture books, there's no floor plan layouts and technical renderings of a building, but rather a wonderfully expansive overview of whimsical art projects, pop up shops, tree houses and other temporary buildings and studios that really push the boundary of where art meets living meets wise use of space. A very current and contemporary look into modern living!

Ultimately, i was a bit disappointed with this one. See "Micro" for a much better example of a good book about contemporary visionary micro-architectural spaces. Photos were often too small. There was very little description, and the categories were a bit useless. This book failed to inspire me, and was expensive compared to other books in this category.
