5.0 out of 5 stars text for class
This is a assigned text from my Embry Riddle class. This book is easy to read, although everything is in the metric system which I hate. No color pics and lots of graphs, charts, tables. I would buy this book again

3.0 out of 5 stars Spaceflight Life Support and Biospherics
Although the book certainly contains a great deal of information, it is quite far from well-written.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good introduction and summary to the topic, August 30, 1996

This review is from: Spaceflight Life Support and Biospherics (Space Technology Library, V. 5) (Paperback)
Spaceflight life support and biospherics is a very well written book that gives engineers, scientists and students all information needed for this topic. It may become, or it is already, the Standard-Handbook on life support systems for space.

5.0 out of 5 stars A basics for Spaceflight support, but sometimes incomplete, June 14, 2010
I have purchased this book last year, in order to understand how human's life support system should be built. The book itself shows the retired's author have a deep space experience in such a field, but some relevant data is missed. As reviewed on The Lunar Base Handbook: An Introduction to Lunar Base Design (GNRL USE), human loops are not as complete as they should. It is covered the basics three ones, but little information on Nitrogen's loop, and biological's respiration process.

In general, a good base to start with, but little far to be the ultimate life support system's book.

I bought this book as research for a paper on water and food production on long-term space missions. The book is well written, easy to read, and packed with lots of good information. Very useful.
