Book Description

A humorous but dark portrayal of politics & politicians in a crisis. Spaceship over Vancouver is an offbeat eco-political satire set in a world of environmental neglect, political ineptitude, and spiritual bankruptcy. The ensuing, often bizarre, interplay between an alien presence, political chaos, the discovery of a long forgotten ancient place of worship and an awakening of long dormant natural forces provides a fast-paced work of mystery and humor that stretches the imagination at every twist and turn of a story that you will find hard to put down. This is a page-turner for a 21st century in global crisis.

The read an interview with the alien known as Chepi - bit.ly/Klmz7G

From the Author

A fantastically large, fabulous golden sphere has appeared in the sky over Vancouver. It's an event that leads to social breakdown, a new city of the dispossessed being built in the Yukon, war with the USA and the end of humankind as we know it. This is a tale of neglect, ignorance and corruption that will haunt your dreams ....

2.0 out of 5 stars Far too clever for me August 5, 2012
By Bob
Format:Kindle Edition
This is classified by the author as eco-political satire however it did not work for me. At the beginning of the story a golden sphere appeared containing an alien, Chepi. I have no idea why the sphere appeared and read the book hoping I would find out but once I reached the end I had no clearer idea. Because of the sphere's, which is sentient and may or may not be in charge of Chepi, arrival civilisation falls apart largely due to inept politicians. It could also do with a proof read as there are odd missing words and sometimes extra words added randomly for example "When she did finally did communicate.........."
Probably very clever, with all sorts of messages but far too clever for me.

Started off with a promising story line but ended up going 90 degrees from it and then spiraled to a strange close.
