The rim comes complete with an all-weather standard white net and has a mounting pattern of 2 7/8 by 2 1/2 inches. The rim measures 5/8 inch in diameter and features a durable, powder coated finish.

I purchased this rim for an unheard of price. With the price of the rim plus shipping and handling the cost was $35.42. I saw this exact rim at a sporting goods store in Indianapolis and they were selling the same rim for $59.00. The rim also came with the mounting hardware and the nets. I will be playing basketball at the local gym that my group pitched in money to purchase this rim for and I will provide an update on how the rim fared. The delivery of this rim was very quick. I order the rim on a Saturday and received the rim the following Thursday. Rim arrived in a timely manner, and VERY well packed. The enclosed bolts didn't fit my backboard; but I reused the old ones, & it fits just fine. Rim looks great and is very sturdy.

I'd had a goal up for about 25 years. It was quite rusted and had a broken gusset, so 'had to replace it. I found that what's offered today is quite a bit lighter in construction than what was available 25 years ago. Perhaps, if I'd invested more $$$, I might'a got something similar to what I had originally. But, alas, my budget was the same as before. ('Won't go into "fixed income," here.) In today's world with the oppressed economy and all, yer just not gonna get the same thing for the same price.
Deal with it.
This thing went up okay. I'm a 69-year old man who's not the best in condition, but I was STILL able to manage the whole thing on my own. (Instructions say to "...use TWO able-bodied people" to install.) And, of course, the net's not as beefy as my old original one was, either. Hey, it'll work! 'Five grandsons won't mind it a bit!
'Want sumpin' heavier? Shell out some more $$$. But this one still seems to allow the ball to pass through it.
So, what more's it used for?

Very nice rim. So far the net has endured through lots of rain and has not discolored. Very sturdy. It came with 4 bolts but they were not long enough to attach the rim to an extra thick backboard with re-inforcement. They would probably work for a standard thickness backboard.
