We installed this backboard on our existing pole & support bracket. It looks good, just slightly smaller than I would have thought. We've played 3 on 3 games several times on our driveway & the goal is great, absolutely no complaints. You can tighten the bolt underneath the breakaway part of the rim to get the proper tension on the rim, so it's not too tight or too bouncy. Overall it's probably not as sturdy as a more expensive backboard, but it's well worth the price & it will hold up just fine I think. I'd recommend it.

Good product and it arrived quickly. Although it was packaged properly, the backboard came with 3 deep scratches. I would fault Amazon for poor quality control before shipping it as it couldn't have happened during shipping due to the proper packaging. Since the kids wanted this installed asap I choose not to return it. Overall nice size board especially if you don't have a very big playing area. Purchased it with the converter kit which worked very well with this board for a wall mount installation.

This backboard and rim set is very nice, looks professional. Very sturdy, and well made. Amazon price beat MOs! And it was delivered to my home. Mounted it on my garage roof and now the kids can shoot hoops for and hour after school. The acrylic clear plastic does not block sunlight coming from behind, so it's unobtrusive. Bought the roof mount at Amazon as well, see my comments and recommendations on that.

I have owned this less than two years and the acrylic is shattering to pieces.

My family is not sport oriented but wanted to give the kids something to learn to dribble and shoot on. My oldest (11yrs old) was trying to make a three pointer and hit the upper left corner and chunks came falling down.

The acrylic is only 1/16" thick, so it's designed to break. Frame and rim are good though. May slap some plywood on the frame and call it good.

My son has loved playing with this hoop over the last year. We installed it on the front of our home over the garage. It has been hours of fun.

you do need a bracket i was able to use my old one but if you dont have one you will need it

I have seen similar backboards, and was aware of the thinness of the plastic polycarbonite material. It looks OK but the plastic is glued to the steel frame with black adhesive and is not perfectly flat. The rebound is OK, but not what I expected. At this price, it works well enough. I would say it works fine for informal use and kid's play, but this is not a backboard for the serious player.

We have a half court in our backyard, and our son shoots a lot of hoops. This is holding up beautifully, looks wonderful, and the price was right. I confess, I had a professional put it up, so I have no idea how hard installation was. I'm assuming it was a little rough, since my husband joined in on the "fun." But they had it up in an hour.

Purchased product knowing it was on the lower end of the price scale. Received in 2 days. Had large defect in backboard. Also had to spend quite an effort to modify brackets to fit on existing pole. When ball hits backboqrd has very 'tinty' sound as plexiglass is not thick at all. So bottom line, from my experience...low price product = low quality. Will choose another product next time.

This is a very nice backboard. Although we haven't put it up yet because we originally intended to install it above our garage using the universal mounting bracket which was also purchased. Unfortunately, the mounting bracket does not work above our garage because of our gutters. We just ordered the pole to attach the backboard to and are expecting it to arrive this week. But, as for the look of the backboard- VERY NICE.
