I bought this for my son who is 11. he is shooting hoops all the time now and our neighbor kids are playing too. I was a little sceptical since no other backboard combos had been reviewed but so far I am very happy with it. it has been a week. it's good exercise and nice to have it stable on the garage instead of the portable type.

I purchased the Spalding Backboard and Rim Spalding 48-inch Eco Composite Fan Backboard/Rim Combo Unitand am very pleased with the purchase. The delivery was fast, the price was great, and the quality is very good.

We are VERY happy with hours of fun our sons have had already! We would highly recommend this backboard and rim.

This backboard fit the old brackets and I have an extra rim for the same price that most boards sell for.

Worth the money; inexpensive. But, it is lightweight & flexible. Not what you really want for a backboard. I'm sure we'll get our use out of it. Installation was easy with the universal bracket we had to purchase seperately.

I got this item a long time ago, I do the review now, because now I know what I got. very strong and steady, we play all the time with my three boys (30,25 and 16 years old)...good item.

So far we have had it up since last year and has lasted. I liked this item better than the whole post and board. We just mounted it on the storage shed in the backyard and braced it with a 2x4.

I have four sons, all basketball enthusiasts. They simply wore out the old goal. Then I backed a truck into it. This goal is smaller, but firmer than the old goal. It is a great goal for the use it will get now with young neighbors and grandchildren. I'm very pleased with how solid it is and appropriately firm and responsive. Great buy.

After installing this backboard using the Spalding mounting bracket, I found that the rim began to sag "out of level" such that the front of the rim was lower than the back. This, I found, is due to the fact that the entire weight of the rim is supported by the plastic backboard. I found it necessary to fabricate an additional support to the supplied bracket and connect that support to my pole (which is a 3" galvanized pipe). I cannot recommend this backboard for that reason.

I purchased this backboard to replace one that was about 20 years old that had cracked. The backboard was just as represented and required only simple assembly. We were surprised at the light weight and the ease of mounting the new backboard. It was a perfect fit for the old mount even though it was not a Spaulding. I would recommed this backboard to anyone looking for a low cost replacement.
