Let me just start this review out by making it clear that i am a huge basketball/NBA/WNBA/CBA fan. I picked up this basketball and started dribbling it. I was amazed at two things.

First of all, it bounces really high and you very rarely have to keep pumping it up like you do with some other basketballs. You can use it both outside/indoors although it is geared for more indoors then outdoors.

Second of all, the grip of the basketball is very good, so it won't slip out of your hands. This has been the only basketball that i have actually owned that doesn't slip out of my hands.

To wrap things up, i will end my review by making it clear that you should go with Spalding and BUY THIS BASKETBALL!

I bought three of these balls after shopping around town. The stores I went to were sold out of the 27.5 basketballs or didn't sell them at all. Found it on amazon for the cheapest price I've seen. Told my friend's/basketball mom's about it and they wanted in. Worked out great!! We're all happy with these basketballs. They just need to be slightly inflated for better bounce which is common.

This ball is the size used by grade school teams. It is an outdoor ball so it may be a little heavier. Make sure you have an air pump and air gauge to get the pressure and size right.

If you play basketball at ALL, you will hate this basketball. It is that hideous rubber material that tears up your hands. The grooves are super deep and are sharp where they go down.

The image makes this ball look MUCH better than it really is.

This is fine if you just play at home and to shoot around, but it would suck to have to play a game with this indoor or outdoor..

I purchased two of these junior size basketballs for my 5 year old twin grandsons. They are just the right size for smaller guys. The balls arrived very quickly and in good condition.

My daughter said "the grip wasn't the best, and it didn't bounce as well as other balls she has had in the past". She is only ten years old but she loves basketball and the ball was for her so I thought you should hear her point of view. The ball has been serviceable and is very good for the price. I must also say that it has taken a beating with all my children and the neighbors children as well giving it a torture treatment every day , yet it still bounces and it still is in one piece.

This item is a must buy for ages 5 to 8 years old. Unreal how the kids can shoot and learn to dribble with this ball. I would highly recommend this basketball.

This Spalding NBA 63-305 Varsity Outdoor Basketball-Mid Size 28.5 is Better than I thought it would be. I was searching for something not-too expensive, but one that serves the Purpose, and this came through in flying colors. I Played basketball several times with my daughter as we love the Sport. It bounces well, and is easy for children to handle as well as adults. It provides hours of fun, exercise and entertainment for the entire family. Great for outdoor Basketball courts within a community!

Perfect size for my 11 year old son. Seems to hold up on wear OK, but also to have to refill with air more often than I would like. Very lightweight so good for his long shots.

First, I realize that these are an inexpensive outdoor basketball, so I wasn't really expecting a lot...but after only a day on our concrete driveway all 3 of the balls I purchased had gone flat. Not much else to say, not impressed!
