I got this ball as a Christmas present and love it. The ball is nice and tacky, feels almost as good as an indoor composite ball.

For the previous reviewer that could not figure out how to inflate it further, the air valve is not totally sealed, but stopped. You are able to fit a needle past the block and still inflate the ball. I received mine at about 8 PSI which is a little low to my likings. I inflated it to 9 PSI and it feels great now.

I like the look and feel of the ball, and with regard to outdoor play this ball is second to none. But as for indoor play this ball does not get the job done. I play 3-4 times a week at the YMCA in my home town, and this ball just does not bounce right on the hardwood. For indoor play I would suggest a Wilson evolution or game solution basketball. If you are playing mostly outside on the concrete this is the ball for you!

Contrary to what the previous three reviewers have stated you CAN add air to this ball. The ball is guaranteed to stay at the proper pressure for one year. If it leaks during that period return it for a new ball. After a year it may leak like any other ball. Yes there is a cap over the air hole, but that cap can be removed and the ball inflated or deflated. I've been informed that this is actually one of Spalding's more popular basketball for the outdoors.
