uh. NOT great for beginners,

I can see no way for a beginner to pick up this book and even understand what's going on. I have taken several years of Spanish, and I struggled through the entire second half of the book. This is an OK book if you are wanting to brush up on your Spanish verb tenses, but would be no help to someone who knows nothing yet about the Spanish language. I was also dissapointed about how the storyline was created. It was a bit inconsistant and also choppy.

This book is excellent, it creates a wonderful balance between oral conversation and written and grammatical skills. Excellent for beginners.

I bought this book new at roughly half price at a bookstore. They speak clearly on the CD, the print is good. I don't think that book is for beginner: after few first lessons, the speech become faster and faster. The only drawback is the BINDING: I can't open it easily.
