We purchased this as a gift for my mother-in-law's birthday. Her parents immigrated from Spain on one of the ships mentioned in this book. She is enjoying working her way through from cover to cover and back again. The recipes are straight-forward and easy. It is like walking through time back to her childhood...and back to Spain with the stories, recipes and pictures. She is sharing it with her friends and family and I am sure that they will all want a copy for themselves, as they are asking where and how she got the book. She has already ordered one for a treasured friend who shares her heritage and loves to cook. If you want to score a hit as a gift, want some easy and authentic recipes without a ton of ingredients, love the culture and the old sayings and stories of immigrants in the early 1900's...it doesn't get any better than this. Thanks!
