to be really useful, this book should have a table of contents so you can get to the section you need quickly. people using this are likely to be those with little or no experience of the language and would need to be able to look up phrases on the spot.

This is a good, fairly complete of simple Spanish phrases that would be used on the street and common talk. It is very good for what it is. It is not a text to learn how to speak Spanish fluently.

While there is a lot of good information in the book... OK, not "a lot" from the XXL, Super-Size Me, Big Gulp point of view... but you get the basics in the book, it's in a handy format, and it's less than a half-decaf Frappuccino with extra foam. Of course, all of the stuff that's in here is easily found on the web.
It's really just a matter of how much is your time worth for the very basic beginnings. If you're looking to sample the language in order to see if you're going to want to go through a more thorough learning process, this is probably the right appetizer. But this isn't going to allow you to get much more than a burrito con queso (...and now I'm hungry).

I was hoping to hear how phrases were said. Unfotunately the pronunciation is so incorrect. This is a disappointment.
