Originally developed as a text for our Spanish for Law Enforcement program at the Language Institute of Colima in Colima, Mexico.

The Language Institute of Colima is nestled in Southwestern Mexico and offers a protected learning environment, far from the bustle of a busy city and the hurried pace of a tourist mecca. Our total immersion homestay program is designed to accommodate all age groups and all levels of proficiencyfrom beginner to advanced. To emphasize individual learning, we limit class size to five students per teacher. Our classes are held on a week-to-week basis throughout the year and we offer university credit and continuing education units. We are happy to customize classes to accommodate any specific needs our students may have.

We encourage families to attend our school combining a vacation with an enlightening educational and cultural experience. Children too young to attend Spanish classes are invited to stay at our day care center on the premises.

Students live with local host families to create a real-life learning situation. Most homes are within walking distance of the school.
