A fragrance punctuated with clove, resting on a base of sandalwood, cedar and exotic patchouli oil. This cologne is our best-selling product to date, offering so much more than your usual cologne, with extracts and oils to moisturise and soothe the skin.
On initial viewing I thought to myself "Hmmm, Bath House Spanish fig & nutmeg - not the kind of brand or scent i would have chosen, left to my own devices............wish she'd picked something by Trumpers, Truefitt & Hill, Taylor, or similar."
However, after trying it out today, I have to say that I got an excellent & extremely close shave. (Razor used was a 1934 open comb Aristocrat, blade was a Bolzano on day 3).
The scent is a little on the sweet side for me, but it's a pleasant & good quality scent, nevertheless.
I think it's the best soap I've used. This opinion is based on one shave, but it performed better than any of the other soaps I own (those include Cella, Muhle, Pre de Provence & Col Conk (I have a bunch of creams too, but those are a different subject).
I also got the aftershave balm & that seems to be of a high quality, too.
P.S. I've been shaving with vintage DE razors for a year & have wet-shaved all my adult life.

This soap is not worth any amount of money. It certainly wasn't easy to work into a good lather to begin with, which should have been a sign. I had to break out my old soup bowl to really whip some air into the soap on my brush.
The initial lathering on my face felt and smelled great. That's the only thing worth mentioning; this soap smells so good. Very strong.
I started my wet shave, using my 1920's open comb DE razor with a brand new high grade blade, and immediately noticed something floating in the air...white, puffy, floating soap. ??
The soap, wet and whipped, had already dried to my face! It took a whopping 3 minutes for the soap to dry to my face and start to break off into powder! Floating around my face!
Guys, beware. I'm actually disappointed. I usually don't expect anything awesome from any one product.
The guy who compared this to Cella Cremá De Barbá is dead wrong. You obviously had a way different experience. Are you SURE you used this soap?
FYI I shared this shave soap with a fellow DE shaver who had the same reaction. Terrible.
Don't waste your money, this will dry your skin out and cause major irritation. My neck was torn up and bleeding like crazy.
It is a possibility I am allergic to this soap however VERY unlikely. It is more likely this soap is just evil. Rotten cheese. Waste of money. Lies. Awful awful awful shave!
