I can't fault this as a phrasebook.
It's size is perfect for the inside pocket when travelling. For it's target audience (Holiday, lifeline) All the major areas are covered - arrivals/departures, accomodation, eating out/menu guide, entertainment/sport, health, travel, shopping. In addition to this, there is a pronounciation guide, phonetics for every phrase, a section on basic expressions and a useful appendix with time, colours, numbers, dates etc. What probably sets this apart from other phrasebooks is the quality of the finishing. Every section is colour coded to allow for quick and easy lookups (as the situation may demand) and the quality of the paper and ink used makes it a pleasure to thumb through at more leasurely times. The binding is also impressively strong and durable for a book of this price, which should prove useful if like me, a spanish phrasebook is a constant companion on your travels. 5 stars. |
