This book offers short lessons on each of the verb tenses in Spanish. After each lesson there is a worksheet where the student can practice that skill. The best part is that the answers are given at the back of the book so that the student can instantly assess whether that skill has been mastered.

The Spanish Verb Workbook is an excellent resource for review, reinforcement and practice of Spanish verbs; but be careful. It does contain several errors--typos and mis-matches (especially in the answer section). Except for the editing errors, it would received a 5-star rating.

This book is a great help for those of us who are language challenged. I went from being a very inexperienced spanish speaker to someone who can read and understand spanish text. As I learn more, I am getting a bit more willing to speak to native speakers and feel I am on my way to my goal of becoming bilingual. Great resource!

Spanish Verb Workbook is an educational text which supplies the student with a concise and comprehensive resource to gain an advantage in acquiring proficiency in the Spanish language. Too often language learning has been abstract; however, this workbook makes connections, provides key notes and tips for understanding and remembering the linguistic mechanisms which develop the student's ability to communication, by constructing simple and complex sentences.

Treating the whole gamut of tenses, voices, and verbs, this workbook is more practical since its objective lies in the active participation of the student. At the end of each module is a review chapter which further enforces what has been previously explained. What sets this book apart from the rest is its vocalization lessons, where students have to practice pronunciation, thus improving articulation and fluency in Spanish.

Teachers would definitely find this book supportive in administering in-class and homework assignments. The entertaining and instructive crossword puzzles concluding each chapter spice up and boost the word bank of the pupil, while keeping language learning stimulating and fun. An English-Spanish dictionary word resource functions as a ready reference for students composing and translating sentences. Moreover, a series of conjugated verbs in all forms appears at the ending, emphasizing the grammar, vocabulary, and verb types taught. The Spanish Verb Workbook can be used as a main text for Spanish courses or as an accompanying edition to any main Spanish text.

Some other products that I recommend for Spanish language learners are Rosetta Stone Spanish. Rosetta Stone Spanish (Latin America) Level 1,2,3,4 & 5 Set with Audio Companion. Rather expensive but excellent for someone who has never had any exposure to learning Spanish.

In order to speak Spanish fluently, you must also learn lots of new words. A resource that I truly enjoyed which is Quick Study-Spanish Vocabulary Flash Cards-1000 cards Not only is this a great bargain for the price but get 1,000 of these flash cards.

For learning how to conjugate Spanish verbs, the best product is the Verbarrator Version 1.1 (Windows Version) software. This piece of software actually replaces the boring Spanish verb conjugation books and makes learning how to conjugate Spanish verbs one of the most fun parts of learning Spanish. And, of course, the more you use the tool the quicker that you will learn how to conjugate Spanish verbs and reach fluency. It is one of the best investments that I have made here at Amazon.com in my learning-Spanish studies.

The last product that I recommend for anyone who is really serious about learning Spanish is The Ultimate Spanish Review and Practice w/CD-ROM (UItimate Review & Reference Series). This Spanish grammar book covers every aspect of Spanish grammar imaginable. To get the equivalent learning-Spanish value of this one book you would have to buy 3 or 4 books in the Practice Makes Perfect series.

This book is extremely helpful for students learning Spanish because they are not just learning the verbs by memorizing them, they are doing exercises and it gives them the ending formula.

I am very much enjoying using my Spanish Verb workbook. It is helping me with repetition and also applications on how to use what I am learning. I would recommend this workbook to anyone trying to learn Spanish.

I have studied Spanish in high school, college and even spent a semester in Puerto Rico, but three years later I found that I was losing my Spanish quickly, and this book has helped to re-familiarize me with topics ranging from the basics (which needed repeating) all the way to the more advanced verb conjugations. I would highly recommend this book to intermediate learners like me, but I think if I was learning Spanish for the first time, it would be WAY over my head, so its not that great for beginners. But overall, a big help in helping me maintain and expand my Spanish knowledge.

I have been studying Spanish for about a year now using Rosetta Stone, a night class which uses the Living Language book, and various web sites.
I wanted to supplement my learning with some workbooks to help with my writing. So far, this work book and the Dorothy Richmond "Pronouns and Prepositions" workbook are the two that I can confidently recommend; this one being a solid "good" and the latter being a solid "great"

I'm refreshing my memory of basic Spanish. I haven't taken Spanish since high school, but took a Spanish placement test in college and I placed in 102, but I found I didn't remember as much as I thought from high school. So I bought this book earlier this year, but just know have started to use the book. I have only finished section 1, but I like the book. It explains things, gives tips, vocabulary works, and side notes. It also gives you a lot of practice writing, multiple choice questions, and a crossword puzzle at the end of the lesson. I like this book a lot. Its good for self teaching in conjunction with some other books. I also bought Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Verb Tenses by Dorothy Deveney Richmond. Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Sentence Builder by Gilda Nissenberg, Ph.D. Cliff Quick Reivew Spanish I. 6,000 Essential Spanish Words by Living Language, and one of my favorites Madrigals Magic Key to Spanish by Margarita Madrigal. I would also recommend buying a Spanish dictionary. I have yet to buy one. I have been looking up words on online Spanish dictionary websites. This book fulfills its purpose as a comprehensive practice manual on Spanish verbs. It can be useful for those who are just learning Spanish or for those with a basic knowledge who wish to reinforce or practice what they already know. The concepts are explained clearly. Tips and usage points are highlighted in the explanation areas. Every chapter includes exercises and basic translations or crucigramas (cross word puzzles) with answers at the back of the book.
