  • New Gear for the Magic Bullet Power Base.
  • We make no claims that these are original Magic Bullet products. We are not associated with Homeland Housewares LLC
  • Directions: To remove your broken piece, use a flat screw driver at bottom center of power base and turn gear on top clockwise with vise grip and protective cloth. You have to put a lot of strength on it. It's gonna be a bit tough to turn.
  • THIS ONLY FITS THE MAGIC BULLET

The product is as described. However, no instructions led me to the comments from the previous reviews. After reading them, I felt confident I could fix it. However, even with my screwdriver in one end to hold it steady, and pliers on the broken piece held tight, it wouldn't twist off!! There is a catch!!! DO NOT USE RIGHTY-TIGHTY,LEFTY-LOOSY!! THIS IS A REVERSE THREADING!! GO THE OTHER WAY WHEN TWISTING OFF ANY BROKEN PIECE!! And then attach the correct piece accordingly. :)
Yay! Saved me a lot of money!

This works GREAT! What a deal, thought I would need to replace the whole Magic Bullet base. The tricky part is removing the old gear. You have to put the
screw driver in the opposite side and turn the opposite way from what you normally do. This was the perfect solution.

My magic bullet works perfectly now that I replaced the part. So excited it came with easy instructions and a link to a you tube video, unlike some of the comments that said there was no instructions included. Really easy to fix, I did make it a 2 man job one person holding the screwdriver at the base while the other person twisted the gold screw out.

I'm pretty handy and this nearly stumped me.
Tools needed: Vise grip pliers (2 preferred), flathead screwdriver, phillips screwdriver, needle nosed pliers (possibly)

Step 1: Remove the 4 little rubber feet, exposing the screws, on the bottom plate.

Step 2: Remove the 4 screws (phillips head), and the bottom plate should come off. This should reveal center shaft with a fan on it. The center shaft should have a slot for a flathead screwdriver.

Step 3: Vise grip the old, broken gear. Place the whole thing upside down, like in a vise to hold the vise grip pliers stead. Or if you don't have a vise, then the gap between 2 tables might work. Or use your knees.

Step 4: Get the flathead screwdriver snugly fitted on the center shaft. TURN CLOCKWISE (RIGHTY!) It's reverse-threaded, so it will feel like you are tightening it, but you are actually loosening it.

If this works, you're in business, and skip to step 7. But chances are that the gear is so tight, that the center shaft won't turn. Instead, the screwdriver slot will start to deform and become totally useless.

Step 5: Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers or fairly slim pliers, and pull the fan off of the center shaft. It's stuck on their with some kind of sticky adhesive, so if you rock it back and forth a few times, it should come off.

Step 6: Lock onto the center shaft with your vise grip pliers. Turn it CLOCKWISE, while holding onto the broken gear with another pair of strong pliers (vise grip preferred). It should sort of 'crack' and the threads will loosen, and the gear will then twist off easily after that.

Step 7: Put the new gear on by hand. Tighten it by hand COUNTERCLOCKWISE. You don't have to over-tighten it, because it'll get tighter when you use the magic bullet.

Came quickly. Fit just right. Works as it is supposed to. If your gear fails, buy this one for your Magic Bullet.

This product was a perfect fit to replace my broken Base Gear on my Magic Bullet. My original Magic Bullet lasted for over 6 years until the base gear shattered one day. However, the metal part of the gear was still firmly in place. I was able to replace the piece with the help of my husband. It took us less than 10 minutes to complete. Now my Magic Bullet works like new. Please see my photos with instructions on how to replace the part.
