About the Artist

Peter and Jim Mayer are veteran members of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band. Joining them on this release is multitalented percussionist Scott Bryan, fresh off the road after touring with Sheryl Crow for the past five years. Rounding out the sound is Vince Varvel with supreme acoustic guitar work.

Peter just keeps getting better. Why a major label has not pick up Peter is unbelieveable. This short but great CD is just one more showing of Peter's talents. I listen to this CD at least once a week if not more it has joined my top 10 list. You will not go wrong with this CD that's for sure.

There is nothing spare about the music here...great lyrics, superb sound, and the terrific voice and guitar work! You will be sure to keep it in your cd player! Enjoy!

I really like Peter Mayer's music,and Spare Tire Orchestra is Excellent! As lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffett, I had expected his music to be more hard rock, but it is passionate, emotional, blues/jazz influenced. Seeing him in person will have you hooked for life! Spare Tire, India (written about his daughter) and Remains are my favorites...then there's Moonlight over Paris, etc.....Only 8 songs on this CD though....Don't know why, but love his music!
