Great Head Lamp,

Bought two of these for my boys' first Boy Scout camping trip. Good value. Price includes needed AAA batteries. I've seen similar products for much more $$. This unit is light weight, and very bright. LED lights are nice and cool. User can choose 2, 4, or 8 lights for more or less (or is that less or more?)brightness. Lamp creates a wide path of light. Straps are very adjustable as they fit my elementary school aged children, but would also fit me.

The photo is misleading; the unit is much smaller than the image. The forehead harness is also smaller than it appears in the photo. The unit gives off good light and the batteries being included is a plus. I would have choosen the Rayovac Sportsman, if I had seen it before I purchased this model. The Rayovac unit is $10 cheaper; the image of the Rayovac unit looks more like this unit than the photo associated with the 8 LED Headlamp.

This is really neat. I never had anything like this. Hand held flashlight, "Good-bye forever!" Whoever it was that thought of putting a flashlight on the head, leaving hands free for work, deserves a prize.I've seen coal miners on tv and sewer workers wearing things like this, but never did I dream of ever seeing one on MY head. I always had to laugh when I saw Ed Norton emerging from the depths wearing something like this. The head straps adjust to your individual comfort. Three brightness settings provide white light with forward, upward and downward positions. Positions hold well; adjustment feels calibrated. The product isn't weighty and generally durable. I'm glad I got it. Can't think of anything wrong with it. Uses three triple A's.
