Everyone knows that entering and editing your cell phonebook from your cell phone is time consuming and difficult to do. Using CellStik Central, a simple to use PC application, you can add, delete and edit your cell phone contacts using a full-sized PC keyboard. Once you have all your contacts the way you want them, simply plug the device into your phone and transfer them over quickly and easily. And if you don't want to use a PC, that's okay, too. The CellStik allows you to transfer all of your cell phone contacts from one CellStik compatible cell phone to another. If the CellStik supports both your old cell phone and new cell phone, then simply backup your phonebook from the old phone and plug in CellStik to the new phone and press the update button.

The CellStik's green and red status lights offer ease of use, while the one step, push button design makes for easy upload/download of your cell phone contacts. With CellStik, all you have to do is plug it into your cell phone, hold the "save" button and you're done. The device is easily upgradeable to support new cell phone models, and the USB connector means it's universally compatible with USB-enabled PCs. The CellStik software is compatible with Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, and XP, and there's no messy cables to deal with. The product works well. It is easy to use. One thing to be aware of, is that when you are setting it up, be sure you have all your external devices up and running. The set up will reconfigure your drive designations if this is not done.

The one draw back is the fact that for each cell phone you need to purchase a new Cell Stik if the plug is different from the original cell phone. The company should have available adopters so you do not have to buy a new cellstick everytime you switched brands. Stated a different way. The original Cell Stik is $40.00 and each new cell phone, if different, is $40.00. This could add up and make this an expensive way to keep the memory.

This device is awesome. Lost my cellphone once and the 700 contacts in it!!! NIGHTMARE!!! Never again. This thing is SO simple and if I'm on the road and add new contacts I can back them up without the need for a computer. This is the greatest favor you could do for yourself or someone you love.

The ability to save cell phone contacts, edit the list on a PC, and reload the information into the cell phone is handy and a good backup in case the phone is lost. Also, the ability to print the list provides a hard copy backup.

However, when I reloaded the contacts to the cell phone, the built-in ring tones that were previously associated with the contact numbers were all changed to another ring tone. I contacted the manufacturer's support organization and received only a lame excuse for the unit's behavior.

In summary, it does half the job well, and that is arguably the more important part. If you don't have to restore the numbers to you phone, leave the CellStik in your sock drawer for use just in case.
