Ok,so I love Tori Amos' music!So,of course I have to go out and buy her singles as well.The thing I like about Tori Amos is that she releases singles with a little bit of adventure attached to them.What I mean is that a lot of her singles also include previously unreleased material.So,it is always an exciting moment to hear a new Tori B-side.If you haven't heard "Spark" by now,then where have you been!!...lol.Having newly heard "Purple People" somewhat-live on her current 'Venus' disc,I was very surprised to hear a more breathy version on this cd single.This song is very majestic and peaceful,in its presentation.'Thunder wishes it could be the snow'...now that's heavenly...especially the way Tori sings it.The best moment,of course,is the other B-side: "Bachelorette".The first time I heard it,I had to run for the piano because this song just made me want to get up and continue to practice.....but alot of Tori Amos' songs make me do that!With "Bachelorette",there is a hint of classical piano mysticism,blending ideals of romantic undertaking and cool renaissance.The more I listen to this track,the more I feel like finding some single woman to go on a trip with me to Europe,of course stopping in Cornwall,England,to see the music engineering studios where these songs were recorded.A definate must-have for all Tori Amos fans out there....wherever you are!Enjoy :-)

I have heard almost all of tori's single albums and b-sides, and i have to say that this album is so far my favorite...she takes you on a different journey around the world with every song and this album is no exception...purple people is a sweet wistful sounding song and flows beautifully with the jazzy bachelorette, which touches the heart of every girl who's ever wanted more from a man...basically all of us...if you're a tori admirer, then get this single right away!

Wow, this has got to be one of my favorite singles..I think it comes in second only to the Winter single. When I first bought it, I was a little iffy because it only had three songs, but they're all stunning!!! There's the classic Spark, and Purple People is sweet. It's sort of sad, but very pretty, and the lyrics are interesting to listen to. And, the best was saved for last--Bachelorette is my new favorite b-side. It is perfect, and I'm actually rather annoyed that it didn't get onto the album, From the Choirgirl Hotel. It would have fit perfectly with the rest of the songs. The piano part is really cool, and the rest of the instruments flow smoothly with it. I especially love the little giggle at the end! ;-)

Each b-side has it's own personality. They're all wonderful songs and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is absolutely breathtaking.

i give tori amos's spark single 10 stars! i love the song "purple people".

I don't have much to say except that Tori has the most sad and beautiful version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" that I have ever heard in my life. That's the reason I bought the c.d.! If for nothing else, buy it for that song!

Just excellent, a piece of heaven.
