"Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog" turns a scary subject into a fun learning experience. Sparkles and Firefighter Dayna show children and adults how to be safe during a fire or suspected fire. The real life photos of Sparkles demonstrating fire safety to children are fun to look at as well as instructional.
My six year-old son loved Sparkles so much that we had to read it to his kindergarten class. His classmates were captivated by Sparkles. They wanted me to read about Sparkles again and again. We even went back and discussed every picture. Their favorite picture was Sparkles in his own bed! The fun pictures kept all eyes and attention on the book. The kindergarteners wanted to know if Sparkles was a real dog and if he could come visit them.
Thanks Firefighter Dayna for sharing your special dog with children all over the world. Fire safety has never been so fun!

This book was beautifully written for parents and children to start the conversation about fire safety. Sparkles is just adorable too. A very useful book that every family with small children should own.

I found out about Sparkles on Facebook. When I showed the page to my 5-year-old twin daughters, they fell in love with Sparkles, both in photos and videos and dearly wanted the book. I ordered a copy from Amazon and am quite pleased with the book. The photos are brilliantly colored, the text is large enough to be easy for young elementary kids to read, and the message is important and helpful. My girls now like to practice crawling like Sparkles just in case a fire ever happens at our house.

This book shines with love and devotion from author, Dayna Hilton and her special dog, Sparkles. Their passion is educating children about fire safety and keeping them and their families safe. With Sparkles as their guide, children will not forget the important lessons Sparkles demonstrates. Especially when Sparkles gets down on the ground and shows the children "how to get low and go." Children will have a lasting memory of Sparkles to carry with them in the event of a fire that will no doubt save their lives. This book is a must have for every child in your household and should be reviewed at least once a year. Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog (saddle stitched)

Our family loves Sparkles... my son first met her while watching Sprout & so when we heard she had a book, we of course had to go & get it. Sparkles & Firefighter Dayna make fire safety fun & not scary. My son knows what to do if there is a fire - Get low & go!!!

For fire safety month, we donated this book to all the classrooms at my son's daycare. All the teachers love it!! The large pictures make it easy to read to a class so everyone can see.
