About the Author

Rick Renner is a prolific author and a highly respected Bible teacher and leader in the international Christian community. Rick is the author of more than 30 books, including the bestsellers Dressed To Kill and Sparkling Gems From the Greek, which have sold more than a million copies combined. In 1991, Rick and his family moved to what is now the former Soviet Union. Today he is the senior pastor of the Moscow Good News Church; the founder and director of the Good News Association of Pastors and Churches, with a membership of more than 800 churches; and the founder of Media Mir, the first Christian television network in the former USSR that today broadcasts the Gospel to a potential audience of 110 million people. Rick s wife and lifelong ministry partner, Denise, and their three sons Paul, Philip, and Joel lead this amazing work with the help of their committed leadership team. More About the Author

Rick Renner is a prolific author and a highly respected Bible teacher and leader in the international Christian community. He is the author of more than 20 books, including the bestsellers Dressed To Kill and Sparkling Gems From the Greek. In 1991, Rick and his family moved to what is now the former Soviet Union. Two years later, he and his wife Denise founded the Riga Good News Church in Latvia before moving on to Moscow in 2000 to found the Moscow Good News Church. In 2007, the Renners also launched the Kiev Good News Church in the capital of Ukraine. Both the Riga and Kiev churches continue to thrive and grow.

Today Rick is the senior pastor of the Moscow Good News Church, as well as the founder and director of the Good News Association of Pastors and Churches with nearly 800 member churches. In addition, Rick is the founder of Media Mir, the first Christian television network established in the former USSR that today broadcasts the Gospel to a potential audience of 110 million people. I was a bit hesitant in buying this book as because it's expensive, but it's hardcover and over 1000 pages. If you expect Rick Renner to study Hebrew and Greek, he doesn't. It's only a Greek devotional. I love it because it has the devotional, a prayer that you can pray, a confession that you can say, and questions to ask yourself. Pastor Renner breaks things down for you and shows you how to apply biblical principles to your everyday life. This devotional has challenged me personally to keep living for God and reach to that next level in God. :)

This book is probably the best devotional I've ever owned! It is written by a man who has a deep knowledge of Greek and who knows God intimately, and his book reveals this. The book is divided into 365 daily readings, each one being just the right length, not too short (which most are) and not too long. Each day's reading begins with a topic and appropriate scripture from the New Testament, which was originally written in Greek. The author goes into great detail as he expands the meaning of the Greek words used in the scriptures, and also includes personal anecdotes (which are so interesting) and lots of encouragement for the reader (which we all need). At the conclusion of the word study are two additional sections: the first is a prayer the reader can pray that relates to the word study for the day, and the second is a declaration of faith relating to the study. At the very end of the day's reading are three questions to the reader to help him go deeper into the day's subject. The reader definitely comes away from the reading with a much deeper understanding of God's Word and how to apply it to his life. It's a wonderful book for not only personal use, but also would be a great gift. I've read several books by Rick Renner, and this is one of my favorites. I highly recommend it!!!

I was using Charles Stanley's devotional for two years because I could not find anyhing comparable, until now. Renner does an outstanding job of making the most out of my morning prayer time and also keeps me on track regarding my own personal growth. This is definitely a must read for those who are looking to increase their sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and those who have a sincere desire to grow into the fullness of their God given purpose.
