I was a bit hesitant in buying this book as because it's expensive, but it's hardcover and over 1000 pages. If you expect Rick Renner to study Hebrew and Greek, he doesn't. It's only a Greek devotional. I love it because it has the devotional, a prayer that you can pray, a confession that you can say, and questions to ask yourself. Pastor Renner breaks things down for you and shows you how to apply biblical principles to your everyday life. This devotional has challenged me personally to keep living for God and reach to that next level in God. :)

This book is probably the best devotional I've ever owned! It is written by a man who has a deep knowledge of Greek and who knows God intimately, and his book reveals this. The book is divided into 365 daily readings, each one being just the right length, not too short (which most are) and not too long. Each day's reading begins with a topic and appropriate scripture from the New Testament, which was originally written in Greek. The author goes into great detail as he expands the meaning of the Greek words used in the scriptures, and also includes personal anecdotes (which are so interesting) and lots of encouragement for the reader (which we all need). At the conclusion of the word study are two additional sections: the first is a prayer the reader can pray that relates to the word study for the day, and the second is a declaration of faith relating to the study. At the very end of the day's reading are three questions to the reader to help him go deeper into the day's subject. The reader definitely comes away from the reading with a much deeper understanding of God's Word and how to apply it to his life. It's a wonderful book for not only personal use, but also would be a great gift. I've read several books by Rick Renner, and this is one of my favorites. I highly recommend it!!!

I was using Charles Stanley's devotional for two years because I could not find anyhing comparable, until now. Renner does an outstanding job of making the most out of my morning prayer time and also keeps me on track regarding my own personal growth. This is definitely a must read for those who are looking to increase their sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and those who have a sincere desire to grow into the fullness of their God given purpose.

I own several devotionals, none is in the category of this book. Physically intimidating and relatively expensive in regards to it's category, it is literally worth it's weight in gold. The very finest book of it's kind that I am aware of. Very useful on several levels, a great (meaty) devotional that requires time and focus, a teaching tool for ministers, a tremendous glossary of Greek definitions and literal meanings for beginning students of the Word and of the original Greek meanings of commonly used scriptures, etc. A great way to start the day. My guess is that if you buy one copy, you will eventually buy several more for friends... it's the kind of book that you want friends and family to be aware of. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

I am very impressed with Rick Renner's teaching and I would recommend his work to every believer. He is led by the Holy Spirit and his ministry is operated through the anointing and the true power of the living God.

Please disregard the hateful comments made below by a religious Pharisee who has been brainwashed at some unmentioned cemetery (a.k.a. seminary). 85%+ of the salvations and probably 98% of the healings and deliverances that we are seeing in the Church today are taking place in charismatic Christian churches. Don't let this religious fundamentalist, with a twisted approach to Greek study, discourage you. Press on and continue to endure the persecution that you are going to receive from people like him!

One of the best devotional books with greek translation around. Easy to read yet full of golden nuggets from the Word that are easily applied to every day life. The meanings really stick with you.

"Sparkling Gems from the Greek" is a must have for every Christian today. Rick Renner's spiritual insight of greek interpetation gives the reader a more clearer understanding of the scriptures. A must have for your daily reading.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It has great insight and inspiration, although it can be a bit long winded occasionally. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed this book so far and we will probably use it as a daily devotional for several years. Make sure you get the hard back copy, you'll be reading this book a lot!

All concerns about being able to wrap my mind around a Greek word study were put to rest with the first reading of this true gem. In modern day terms this word study is truly best I have ever encounter. Get one for yourself and a friend. What a treasure.

This is the best devotional I have found in years. The materials are fresh and annointed. Rick Renner has hit the "nail on the head" with profound truths from the Word of God.
