5.0 out of 5 stars Sparrow Mission, February 18, 2009
This review is from: Sparrow: Sparrow Mission (Paperback)

The setting is WW II and it has all of the mystery in it of the Officers of Strategic Services (OSS). You will never believe the direction this story will take you. It is about 3 officers far away from Washington D.C. When you see them in Hungary, you will be enthralled by what happens to these young men. It is quite fascinating to read about how a small village knows everything that is going on in both sides of the war. We think of them as unsophisticated, but we are dead wrong. These villagers know what they are doing and they know how to play both sides of the coin.

These secret missions behind German lines cause aggravation all over the globe. The author keeps you in suspense of what is going to happen next. It usually is not what you are thinking! I like the way he keeps the mystery up until the end and you are genuinely surprised with the outcome. Their mission is to create havoc and chaos and they can truly say, mission accomplished. What a tribute to great group of men during this period in our history. I highly recommend Richard Beals' Sparrow.
