The clamps themselves aren't awful but the thing is that the clamps I got weren't the same as the clamps pictured. The ones I got were these ones: [...]
I haven't used them with a partner yet, but using them alone, I find them to be very comfortable (not too heavy, a good weight) and easy to adjust.

Bought these as a surprise for my wife to experiment with. She's ready to move beyond mild restraints and spankings. These clamps were the perfect next step. Though fully adjustable, care should be taken to make sure you don't start out with too much pressure. The springs in the clamps are strong. The adjusting knobs allow for pretty fine control. Starting with minimal pressure we were able to slowly tighten the clamps to find her balance point. Once firmly applied she quickly adapted and encouraged me to play with the chain. The adjusting knobs hold their setting so the clamps don't slip or drop off while active, and they don't loosen to cause too much pain.In fact, we found you have to remove the pressure before you can adjust the tension.

Good though not outstanding quality, these are a reasonably priced, even cheap (as in ecnomical) set of clamps to explore how far you might be willing to go.
