Unlike anything else,

This review is from: Speak of the Dead (Paperback)
First of all let me tell you that I have met the author. She IS a psychic/ medium. She did a reading on me (ever the cynic) at her booksigning. I bought the book!!!!! I have never read anything like this in my life. It is way more fun to read than non-fiction on this subject of the "sixth sense". Lt. Mike Harris is a real bad...! The book is the best. I'm not much into time travel, but I am going to read the other books she has written because her writing is so "out of the box" and free. You should meet here if you can because she "is" Felicia McClellan (the character in Speak of the Dead).

This is a one of a kind book. There has been so much interest in the "sixth sense" and John Edward lately that I thought I would give this book a try. Not only is it an entertaining mystery, but it really shows you what it is like to feel, see,and experience communication with the other side. Non-fiction books on this subject get rather boring after a while, but it's sort of cool to get involved with this "gift" while reading a good story too. I liked all the characters, but must admit that Felicia totally fascinated me. I can't help but think that the author must be a medium herself or else be very good pals with someone who is. I couldn't put the book down. Seriously held me bound to my chair. I hope Mike and Felicia get into some more books because this is something new, and I don't want it to end. I'm a big reader but must admit I get bored with the same old-same old all the time. I'm going to buy the time travel series now because this author is a new voice, and I'm totally fascinated with her.

Great book!,

I decided to read SPEAK OF THE DEAD while doing my work-out on my treadmill. 40 minutes later I realized that I had gone way over time on my walk, so I might as well just stop the work-out and read the book. I could not put this book down! I burned a lot of calories and finished a wonderful book. I never realized fully what it must feel like to have the sixth sense until I read Hollie's character Felicia McClellan. This is a wonderful gift to have but I can see it has its downside. If you have ever wondered what it feels like to "speak to the dead" you need to read this book.

I got this book based on the 4 "5 star" reviews! Never again! It was one of the worse books I've ever read and as if that wasn't bad enough, the copy I received was missing the last pages and I didn't even care! I'm sticking with authors I know. Except for the clumsy sex scenes it could have been written by a 5th grader!
