4.0 out of 5 stars Suspiciously Good...
This record is on its way to become a true rarity: deleted from the remastered Ozzy catalog, it is now only available as an import item or leftover from the `95 remaster. For years I hesitated about buying this, as I considered it to be something of an oddity, an apocryphal release of sorts, caught right in the no-man's-land: it was an Ozzy solo record, but it contained...

3.0 out of 5 stars An energetic live album.
This is quite an impressive live performance from Ozzy Osbourne. All of the tunes are Black Sabbath songs. It's easy to get into Speak of the Devil. Ozzy's banter with the audience is really cool and adds a spark to the album. I prefer the live versions of these Black Sabbath tunes to the studio ones. Ozzy does an energetic and satisfying job with the vocals...

I picked this up used some time ago and I still love it. Ozzy going back to his old roots and banging out some classic Black Sabbath tunes. Not that bad overall, my favorite track is "Children of the Grave"....but the rest is worth buying, also....

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Ozzy Album with Sabbath Covers!, August 11, 2003
This review is from: Speak of the Devil (Audio CD)
I can't beleive that I found this album at Sam Goody just laying there like it was just another Ozzy album. When I saw it I ran to the cash reguster and bought it. (If you didn't know that this album is the hardest album of all time to find)IT'S VERY HARD IM TELLING YOU! Anyway this is a great live Ozzy album with Sabbath covers on it(It's alot better than the Black Sabbath Live Evil, that [stinks] pretty bad!) Ozzy on vocals just rulz and kicks but. Brad Gillis is on guitar and he rules, he does a better job than Tony did on Live Evil. Rudy Sarzo just rocks on the bass, I think he was one of the best bassist Ozzy ever had. And Tommy Aldridge on the Drums, he is F'n amazing, he does have a drum solo on this album but if you get Tribute to Randy Rhoad (which is also a great Ozzy album, a must have for an Ozzy fan or not) Tommy has an amazing solo that will blow your mind. The amazing thing about this album is that Ozzy's band only had two day to learn the Sabbath tones to perform for this album. And they did a great job, that makes this album great! Ok there you have the review for the album. Here are the best song on the record. Black Sabbath, Fairies Wear Boots, War Pigs, N.I.B., Never Say Die, Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath, Iron Man/Children Of The Grave, and Paranoid. This is an amazing album but let me tell you. THIS IS THE HARDEST OZZY ALBUM TO FIND, BUT IF YOU DO FIND IT BUY IT. Thanx for reading!

When this album originally was released I had never heard such incredible riffs on a live album! This is pure rock, a great tribute to Sabbath, WAR PIGS and FARIES WEAR BOOTS are true classics. A must for your METAL collection!

I have to agree with the other reviewers....this album rocks! I first purchased this album when it came out in the early 80's and was hooked on it immediately. If there is only one live Ozzy album to buy, this is the one!

5.0 out of 5 stars BLACK SABBATH WHO????, February 13, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Speak of the Devil (Audio CD)
As everyone knows and is saying, with Randy Rhoad's death Ozzy put this Black Sabbath cover album out to rival Sabbath's own Live Evil with their new singer Ronnie James Dio. Not including his material from "Blizzard" and "Diary" due to Rhoads death was very understandable. But its not a cover record as Ozzy did also help write these too. Its the way he performs them. BETTER THAN SABBATH EVER DID!!!! His band of Brad Gillis, Rudi Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge simply put....KICK ASS!!! They play like a group that has been together for awhile, very tight! Every song on here is a treat to listen to. Ozzy's ranting and raving is well....Just Ozzy! As you may also know this CD is hard to find. Luckily I just got my used copy at the local music store. (For less then 10 bucks in excellent shape!!) No BS!! Anyway get this CD and whatever you pay....ITS WORTH IT!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars SOME GOOD STUFF, May 31, 2000
This review is from: Speak of the Devil (Audio CD)
THIS WAS RELEASED FOR TWO MAIN REASONS: TO BE A TRIBUTE TO RANDY RHOADS, AND TO BRING DOWN SALES OF THE BLACK SABBATH LIVE ALBUM, LIVE EVIL. BLACK SABBATH WITH FRONTMAN RONNIE JAMES DIO, HAD BEEN PREPARING FOR A LIVE ALBUM FOR 2 YEARS, AND WHEN OZZY FOUND OUT, HE WHIPPED UP A LIVE DOUBLE-ALBUM OF OLD BLACK SABBATH SONGS IN JUST 3 DAYS. AND IRONICLY, IT BEAT LIVE EVIL IN SALES! THIS IS A HELL OF AN ALBUM, AND IN CASE YOU DIDN'KNOW, LOOK AT THE BORDER AROUND THAT PICTURE OF OZZY ON THE COVER. WANNA KNOW WHAT IT SAYS? IT SAYS: "DIAL A DEMON PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS THE MADMAN OF ROCK AND ROLL DUMPING IN EL SATANO'S TOILETO!"
