***** Finally My Dogs Behave!!
I started reading Lee's book and quickly implementing the training information she included, because we were having to get a babysitter while we went out! It was amazing how the little things like putting a blanket under the table while we were gone helped her feel more comfortable at home, alone. - Mary Welfel

***** A book with a lot of heart
It's all about understanding. If you want to avoid anger and disappointment, knowing your dog is the solution. I learned a lot from this book, and I couldn't help thinking that maybe some of these insights apply to humans! - Paul J Coleman

Product Description

Even the most unruly dog can be trained if you just know how to talk to him!

If you are a dog owner, you probably already know how challenging dog training can be. Dogs have their own personality and their own ideas about what they want to do and it’s not always what you want them to do. Couple that with the fact that most people aren’t born being able to simply “whisper” to dogs and get them to do their bidding and you have a recipe for frustration.

All dogs are not created equal so it stands to reason that not all dogs should be trained the same way.

In fact, in order for dog training to be successful, you have to learn how to talk your dogs language. Not just “dog language” the language that your specific dog talks.

The mistake that most people make with dog training is to try to get the dog to understand them, when they should be working to understand the dog. And that's what this book will help you do - talk to your dog in a language that HE will understand!

Once you do that, you will find that dog training is not only easy and fun but you will quickly be able to turn your dog into the obedient companion you always wanted.

Finally My Dogs Behave!! January 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
First let me tell you about my dog:
When we left her at home, she would constantly rip the house apart. We got a kennel for her, and she broke some of the wires out. I didn't want her to get hurt, so we tried to put her in the bathroom, where she ate the toilet flushing handle, left teeth marks in the doorknob, and tore up the door frame. Next we tried to put her on a leash in the house, just while we were gone, she tore up the carpet, and ripped up linoleum. I flipped over the kennel and tried it that way, and she busted completely out of it, while we were gone, and ate my prescription medication. Finally, we put her on her chain outside while we were gone for half an hour, and came home to her running around the neighborhood, with her collar on, and the chain completely intact- she is Houdini!

I started reading Lee's book and quickly implementing the training information she included, because we were having to get a babysitter while we went out! It was amazing how the little things like putting a blanket under the table while we were gone helped her feel more comfortable at home, alone.

We had also had problems with her jumping, but since working on my leader of the pack skills I've been able to command her to be have when people come over. She understands when I tell her bed and she does it. I've read a lot of puppy websites, and books and none seemed to include as many ideas to help like this one did. I can't wait to see if Lee provides another book on dogs, because the insight to their psyche is definitely useful for anyone with dogs, and I've had them my entire life. Thanks again, and I definitely recommend!

These dogs consider that they are the pack leader, which puts you down the line from them. Test this by asking your dog to sit by your side and look where his paws are positioned. If one or both of his paws are in front of your feet, he thinks that he is in charge of your pack. Gently move his foot to be level with yours, and keep doing this until he gets the message. Repeat this exercise often to remind him that you are top dog. "e;
