I will break this down to quality of the DVD itself, and it's content.

QUALITY: Amateurish. Looks like a 'home movie.' Taking that into consideration, I am surprised at what they ask for this DVD. I don't feel I got my money's worth. The poor quality simply makes it too distracting. There is audio that just gets cut off, mid-sentence. There is text that is misplaced on the screen so that some of it is not readable. There is text that errantly overlaps with other text. There is text that doesn't match the audio. The audio is poor. It's tinny. With some people you can't hear it, so you have to turn it way up, then someone else talks and it's all blown out. The lighting is poor (which is one of the things that makes it look like a home movie.)

CONTENT: I'd like to be able to say the content was worth what I paid, outside of the poor quality, but I can't. She has some good exercises on there, but there is no guided mediation. What she does is a short rundown that you have to remember, then it goes back to a non-guided drumming sequence that it repeats for the other exercises. If you are at all familiar with meditation, you can simply do it on your own, you wouldn't need the DVD. If you are not experienced, you need to have that guidance.

The other thing is that, talking about communicating with animals was a relatively small part of the DVD. Most of it was connecting with your power animal, which is fine, in and of itself, but it's not enough without adequate instruction on animal communication, if that's what you're looking for in buying this DVD. She barely touched the surface of actually speaking with animals. I would far recommend reading either "Learning Their Language" by Marta Williams, or "Animal Talk" by Penelope Smith.

I do not recommend this DVD. It seems way too high priced for either it's quality or it's content, and for a fraction of the price you can get Smith's or Williams' book and be much farther ahead in getting a jump on communicating with animals.

Even though I like this DVD very much, I'd prefere a more direct way of communicating with animals - than to first have to connect to your shamanic poweranimal.

Anyway, there are not many DVDs out there to learn animal communication - so don't hesitate to buy this one - it sure helps you on the way to talk to animals.

'Speak to My Heart: Carla Person's Step by Step Method for Shamanic Animal Communication,' is definitely a stunning way to introduce people to spiritual communication. Shamanic students as well as the average animal lover will undoubtedly want to see a follow-up on how to apply their newly found connection and how to strengthen it.

Shamanism is a mystical journey, it's very symbolic, much like the world of dreams. I ordered this DVD because I had heard a tape recorded Shamanic Session by Carla Person at a clients home. The information that Carla received & her healing work via the "Spirit Realms" cured my clients pet. I found this DVD very user friendly. It's a very basic step into learning more about this particular style of Animal Communication. I recommend it to those who not only love animals & want to learn to understand them better, but also to those of you who are willing to suspend this reality for Non- Ordinary Reality.
