Mediocre mystery,

This title received a good review from the New York Times mystery book reviewer so I purchased it. I thought it was fairly mediocre, featuring a demented serial killer beyond belief. Some elements of the story were well done, especially the story of the woman at the center of the mystery who had murdered a child when she herself was only 11 years of age, but overall there was a lot of action that could not compensate for a totally improbable plot. This book is not worth buying, in my opinion.
