Excellent written and illustrated text with clear audio. Very well presented. Format is phrase oriented, with good progression from simple to intermediate difficulty. I find this volume particularly useful as an adjunct to the Pimsleur series which is conversationally structured with no written material. Together, these two resources are all one needs to learn the basics. Well worth the price.

I really liked this product. The cd lets you hear the phrases and words slowly so you can sound them out for yourself. You get a chance to hear how the words are pronounced! It also has phoneticly spelled words to help you with the pronuciation.
