I came across this band because I saw they were touring with one of my favorite bands Ivoryline, so I figured I'd check them out. Lucky I did because they are becoming a steady rotation in my car CD player. They remind me of Ivoryline mixed with a Saosin/Secret & Whisper type band. "Speak" is an excellenct EP release by In:Aviate, I can't wait for the LP that they are currently working on to be released. I just wish they were touring with Ivoryline when I saw them, but someday I hope to see this band live in concert.

i think the EP is a great start!!! i can't wait to see what they come up with next!!
the poetry of the verses is lost behind repetetive riffs and elongated melodies which are focused more on the words than a catchy melody. "a more agreeable form of escape", "conversations with the scenery" and "Speak" all fall short of the perfection of the style by Circa Survive until they get it right with the song "voluspa". The shockwave of their explosive choruses, though, clears the way through another verse. "voluspa" and "The Quickening" are the glory songs. they hit hard with melodies that elevate the lyrics to a place that you wish existed...in this life.
i wish i had the talent to do what they have done.
